Standing Poses Series

This 8-week series is open to everyone.  We will focus on the basic alignment and actions of standing yoga poses. 

The goal is to connect (or reconnect) with Earth energy in our practice. 

A firm foundation in yoga results in a renewed sense of balance and begins with awareness of the feet. 

This series is an excellent introduction to yoga and may provide inspiration in developing your own practice at home. 

No prior yoga experience is necessary.

 

 

This 8-week series be held Tuesday evenings; June 22nd – August 17th from 5:30-6:25pm

Zumba Series

Bellydance

with certified instructor Prem Siri Kaur

 

(Based on the teachings of bellydancing goddess Dolphina, of GoddessLife Inc., as seen on Conan O'Brien, Extra, numerous Morning & Today shows, & NBC.)

 

Belly dance is a total workout for the body, mind, and spirit!  It provides a thorough, non-impact, and fat-burning exercise that tones and sculpts your muscles!

Belly dance isolations lengthen your muscles, toning and strengthening them. Belly dance is also very effective at building "core" strength in a really fun way.

Apart from stimulating circulation and improving coordination, an hour-long belly dance session provides a feeling of freedom and release that will be totally new

and revitalizing experience for you!

5 Weeks to Upward Bow

In this series, we will work towards Upward Bow pose by exploring all of the elements that combine to make a beautiful arc.  We will spend time opening the shoulders and hip flexors and learning how to backbend the spine safely and with stability.  This series is ideal for students who are new to backbends and want to learn how to practice them safely and confidently.

Gentle Yoga Series

Whether you’re new to yoga, recovering from injury, or simply interested in working at a slower pace, Gentle Yoga is the class for you. 

Each week we will take the time to warm up with several stretches on our backs, followed by seated poses. 

We will pulsate in and out of standing poses to build heat in the body without putting stress on joints. 

Our sessions will end with at least one restorative pose and a restful Savasana. 

You’ll leave feeling blissfully balanced and relaxed.  No prior experience required!
